Personal Growth and Accountability Questions:

1. Am I regularly (on a daily basis) spending time alone with God in Word and in prayer? Do I make it a practice to memorize scripture? Give examples.  Deuteronomy 8:3; Joshua 1:8; Psalms 119:11, 15-16, 23-24, 49-52,93; Philippians 4:6; Corinthians 3:2,16

2. Has my thought life been pure? Be specific about viewing and reading material. Do I turn from temptation? Matthew 5:8; Philippians 4:8-9

3. How am I walking in obedience to God (partial obedience is disobedience)? James 4:17
     a. What are the works God has called me to do? Psalms 62:1,12; 2 Corinthians 6:16; Ephesians 2:10
     b. How have I honored God with my monies? Malachi 3:8; Matthew 6:19-21,24
     c. What am I doing that only God can do through me? Joshua 6:1-5; Judges 6:33; 7:1-8; 1 Chronicles 14:8-16; Matthew 17:24-27

4. How have I cared for my body with daily exercise and proper eating/sleeping habits? 2 Corinthians 6:16

5. How does my relationship with my wife reflect Christ’s love for the church? Ephesians 5:25

6. How does my relationship with my husband reflect an attitude of respect and submission? Are there any patterns I should change?  Ephesians 5:22

7. What training am I providing my children in the ways of God? What examples am I giving for godly living? Deuteronomy 4:9; 6:6

8. Am I personally being discipled by another Christian? Do I disciple others systematically? Hebrews 10:25

9. Have I given my best in the workplace and/or ministry? Corinthians 3:23-24; Luke 17:5-10

10. How has my speech been God-honoring – edifying and encouraging to others? Have I been a party to gossip? Exodus 20:16; Matthew 15:10-11, 18-20; Ephesians 4:29; Colossians 4:6

11. When have I shared the Gospel with an unbeliever in word or deed? Matthew 28:19, 20

12. How have I allowed any person or circumstances to rob my joy? Explain. Matthew 6:25-34; John 15:11

13. Do I harbor anger or resentment toward another? Do I have any broken relationships? Will I go to them first to reconcile? Matthew 5:21-26, 38-48; Mark 11:25; Romans 12:14-21

14. Have I confessed all sin – omission as well as commission? James 5:16, 1 John 1:8-10

15. Do I live on my own effort or do I appropriate the power of the Holy Spirit? Ephesians 5:18

16. Have I lied about any of the previous questions? Matthew 5:33-37; Corinthians 3:9
