Southern Africa AIDS Collaboration (SAAC) is currently, and is committed to remain, a balanced collaboration of South African champions and North American organizations and churches with a passion to come alongside them in the worldwide effort to defeat HIV/AIDS.
SAAC began in August, 2004, as a workgroup empanelled by John DeHaan, Executive Director of the Association of Evangelical Relief and Development Organizations (AERDO). Founded in 1978, AERDO is a network of 48 major faith-based relief and development agencies in North America.
SAAC currently comprises representatives from 13 ministry organizations and churches. Each representative is a member of the SAAC Design Team. Partners Worldwide is the lead agency. Partners matches North American businessmen with entrepreneurs in 18 developing countries for business mentoring, access to capital, and advocacy.
The Design Team is co-chaired by Doug Seebeck, Partners Worldwide Executive Director, Paul Sholten, Christ Memorial Church, and Zeke Swift, Mariemont Community Church.
Please pray for the team as they tour South Africa. If you would like more information, contact Zeke Swift through Mariemont Community Church.
Is not this the fast that I choose: to loose the bonds of wickedness, to undo the straps of the yoke, to let the oppressed go free, and to break every yoke? -Isaiah 58:6
