 It takes many loving people to nurture our young people, teaching them to understand the love of God. We ask the Lord Jesus to bless the sacrifice of time and energy poured out by our special teachers this school year. We offer a special prayer of thanks for the leadership of Jamie Keyes, Director of the Children's Ministry.

- Come join us for Youth Group Sundays at 9a upstairs in the Youth room. It's a great time for fellowship, building relationships, having fun and becoming more deeply connected to God. Bring your friends!
- Great Wolf Lodge - Mark your calendars for April 18- 20 for a fantastic weekend when we will head up to Great Wolf Lodge. Deposit is $50. Make your checks payable to MCC and mark them for “Great Wolf.” You may deposit them with the offering or drop off to Lois Barbro in the church office.
- Youth Group Gear - The youth group has their own clothing line with their logo Powerhouse. Sweatshirts $20, T-shirts $10, Beanies $6 or all three for $32.

 Know where to take your children for the exciting 2007-08 school year. Sunday School begins September 9 at 10:00a in the Parish Center. Remember to bring all that your children need and to pick them up right after service. We're exciting about the new year and look forward to sharing God's love with your family.

We need people who would be willing to hang out and mentor kids on Sunday mornings. To help make this a possibility we moved our Sunday school time to 9a so that you wouldn’t have to choose between church or helping out. for kidsWe will resume our first and third Wednesday Prayer Club for Mariemont Elementary children on September 19 from 11:30-12:30. Meet in the school lobby and we'll walk to the Parish Center to learn about prayer and spend time talking with God.

 According to the National Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse, kids who share meals with their parents are healthier, happier, and better students. To get that conversation going around the family table, and to give everyone an equal turn, try the Mad, Sad, Glad approach suggested by Children's Ministry magazine. At dinner, encourage each family member to share something about the day that made them mad, sad, or glad, helping each to reflect on the day and to identify feelings. Not only can your family make more of a connection than just a list of what they did, but you can also pray more specifically for one another. Consider even keeping a journal to watch how God is working in your family's lives. |
