J.O.Y. Luncheons Join us November 14 by Marianne Beausejour I am sure that the monthly luncheon for the older young women of the church has had many changes over the years. (J.O.Y. stands for "just older youth.") There is a core of women who have given of themselves for years at MCC and have now graciously stepped back and given the reigns to the next generation. However, as each successive decade passes, we are learning new ways to take advantage of our fellowship: to take the time to connect and enjoy each other. |

At the beginning of your supplications the command went out, and I have come to tell you, for you are greatly beloved; therefore consider the matter, and understand the vision. (Daniel 9:23) Experiencing GOD has sold more than 4 million copies. God wants to answer the prayers of those whose hearts are completely His (2 Chron. 16:9). New: Men's Purity Group
Focus on the Family's Pastoral Ministries reports that about 20% of the calls to their Pastoral Care Line are related to compulsive problems with sexual impurity. (Safe Families Statistics)
A new weekly group meets at MCC on Monday evenings in the upstairs youth room. The Men's Purity Group will help men to be pure in a society that's often impure; it will be a safe and confidential but an open place to:
1) Deal with temptations at a deep level.
2) Experience the empowerment of God's grace to live godly lives.
3) Fully understand our identities as sons of God and what that can mean.

Excerpt: "There is much more to a talmid (disciple) than what we call a student. A student wants to know what the teacher knows for the grade, to complete the class or the degree or even out of respect for the teacher. A talmid wants to like the teacher, that is to become what the teacher is." ©That The World May Know Ministries
